In this dark and disturbing world premiere, the audience will become acquainted with Gacy, his family and victims as he awaits his execution on Death Row and recounts (and reenacts) some of the most disturbing events of his past as a murderer living a seemingly ordinary life.

"An unnerving tour de force!"

"The intimate nature of the theater adds to the creepiness of being “so close” to the killer. Excellent acting, especially by the star. Provocative and fascinating to see how Gacy became so twisted in both deeds and his personal interpretation of them."

KURT LIPHARDT
"Good acting. Good writing. Disturbing subject matter, but a play I enjoyed."

"Original..thought provoking..into the psyche of a mass killer done in a very interesting way...also great actors....a dark subject."

"Ronnie Larsen has done it again, two spectacular productions in two weeks. Organic script, fast moving story, and strong performances made a perfectly macabre night at the theater. The house should have been full! I'll do my best to promote in the future. A+"

"At first, I was turned off by the initial advertising campaign. However, I had friends who saw the play and told me it was fantastic and that it deserved to be seen. And I agree. A smart and insightful play that was imaginatively directed by Erynn Dalton and was written by and starred Ronnie Larson, who expertly and chillingly embodies the role of Gacy. Larson commands the stage as literally bares his soul as Gacy, that one wants to feel compassion for this deranged mass killer. At the performance that I attended, Richie Stone played all the other male roles who was mesmerizing in a lengthy monologue as the sole survivor of Gacy's murder spree. Bridgett Haberecht played a multitude of roles, including his mother, who is heartbreaking in the scene where she visits her son. The play deserves to be seen elsewhere. I do recommend that when they do that, perhaps they revisit their initial advertising campaign concept because if I had not known someone who saw this play, I would have missed one of the highlights of the theater season."

"I've come to expect New York-quality shows from this theater. This show was just that, a performance you'd expect to see off-Broadway. From the writing to the acting to the direction, "Gacy" was an excellent performance. What I really liked about the show was that it wasn't your typical bio-play, outlining and embellishing on the track record of a notorious serial killer. No, this performance took us inside the mind of Gacy. It presented Gacy's inner thoughts, jumbled and confused and angry and morose as they must have been. It presented us with what his victims went through, what they experienced and thought as he was torturing and killing them. Dark, yet amazingly human, this performance went beyond entertainment and made a direct connection between Gacy, his victims, his family, and us...spectators into their lives."

"Outstanding!!! Genuinely haunting and extremely well-acted. It’s uncomfortable, yet engaging. This is the kind of theater we need more of! The best art tends to jolt the mind, while leaving a lasting impression. This show does just that! Can I add a 6th star?"
